Who We Are

Church History

Vine Street Baptist Church is a unique place with a distinctive difference. Born in the heart of B.L. Millard, the church held its first services in a trailer at the Mt. Nebo Trailer park in 1953. The church was constituted on September 27, 1953 with twenty-six members. Over the years, led by a number of successive pastors with names like, Jacks, Branum, Howard, Goss, Stone, Hollingsead, Phipps, Daley, Collins, Brewer and Holleman the church continued to minister the Gospel of Christ to the people of Roseburg.

Through major building projects and land acquisitions the church built its ministry base. However, its primary resource is its people.

The people of Vine Street Baptist Church want to experience the hand of God on their lives, their church, and their community. With a mission to strive to model Jesus Christ by sharing His love with our neighbors, community and world, the people of VSBC desire to let the world experience God through them.

Our current Pastor Alex Dotson came to Roseburg in 2016 with his wife, Faith. Since joining they have added two sons to our community.
