Children
Jesus said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." (Mark 10:14, NIV)
More than 80% of Christians trust Christ as their Savior between the ages of 4 and 14. Before the world can shape our children into its mold, we at VSBC seek to lay the firm foundation of Jesus Christ and to inspire a love for the Word of God in their hearts. Through Sunday School, mission education, Vacation Bible School, and camps our children worship, pray, give, and go as the power of the Word challenges them and changes their lives.
In Matthew 18:5, Jesus declared that, "Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me." Children are precious not only because of their zest of life and the purity of their faith lasting legacy and the abundance of fruit that flows from a life that is surrendered to Christ at an early age. At VSBC we are committed to reaching the next generation for Christ.
Purpose Statement
Since children need to experience Jesus' love and acceptance. It is Vine Street Baptist Children's ministries desire and commitment to create a solid foundation in a warm and nurturing atmosphere through fun and safe activities with caring teachers.
Safety
We ask that only parents pick up preschool children from the class room. You will be assigned a call number and information card indicating where you will be in Sunday School or Discipleship classes. A number will be assigned to you so if your child needs you during church, she can find you! Your number will appear on the top left side of the projection screen in the worship center should your preschool need you.
Since children are a special part of our family (and yours), we do have a child protection plan in place at VSBC. It involves background checks and training of workers.
